Humanity is a strange reality. A recent incident showed us faith in humanity restored. It presents itself to the world in many strange ways and in one such rare act of selflessness a 60 year old man from Thane gave up his life trying to save his beloved cat. The incident occurred when the building they used to live in collapsed.

The 60 year old man was a resident of Krishna Niwas, a three storey building in Thane. The collapse of the building caused the death of 12 people including the old man. The incident occurred at approximately 2.30 am while the residents were sleeping and the man lost his life trying to save the cat from dying. He gave up his life just to prevent his cat from suffering a tragic fate while other people were focused on saving their own lives in a hurry.
